It is a common practice for powdered lime to be spread on agricultural lands across the country as a means on increasing the PH of the soil. This lime is a byproduct of waste water treatment and contains levels of heavy metals that are not safe for this use. The government does not test these materials but maintains that they are safe for use as fertilizer.

This piece is both a sculpture and a photograph. The pictures exist as works in themselves, not merely documentation. The sculpture exists as an instillation for as long as the elements allow it to remain.
