Tense

There was a fox in my yard today, trapped in by the fence. It was strange to see such a collected animal in a state of panic. Without thinking about it's wishes, I attempted to trap it longer so that I could get my camera. I did not a get a picture of it. This is the spine on an animal who died inside the same fence, it is not a fox.
